Iran has claimed to have shot down 10 Israeli warplanes and successfully foiled a fresh Zionist attack on the major city of Mashhad. The Iranian air defense system was reported to be fully active and responsive.
Israeli forces launched strikes on various cities across Iran during the night between Saturday and Sunday. However, Iranian authorities said their defense systems were fully operational and intercepted the attacks effectively.
Iranian officials stated that within just one hour, 10 Israeli aircraft were targeted and destroyed. These attacks reportedly focused on several Iranian oil refineries. Iranian air defense units locked onto the aircraft and shot them down. Some video footage of the downed planes has also surfaced online.
It should be noted that on Saturday, in earlier Israeli strikes, two senior Iranian military officials, three nuclear scientists, and 65 civilians—including 20 children—were martyred.
Following the attacks, Israel’s Ministry of Defense issued a warning, threatening that if Iran continued with its missile strikes, fires would rage across Tehran.
