Isolated monsoon rains, along with isolated heavy downpours and gusty winds, are forecasted for Lahore and various parts of Punjab on Sunday night, extending into the next two days, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are moving into most parts of Pakistan, accompanied by a westerly wave affecting the northern regions.
Under these conditions, intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujarat, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Leh Bhakkar, Mianwali, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan on Sunday night. Heavy rainfall may also be isolated in areas like Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.
The rainy conditions are expected to continue into Monday and Tuesday, with similar weather patterns predicted for many of the same areas, including Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Leh Bhakkar, Mianwali, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan. Heavy rainfall may also be localized in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.
The torrential rains could lead to flash flooding in local streams and nullahs in areas like Dera Ghazi Khan, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Narowal, Jhelum, and Gujrat. There is also a risk of urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan, as well as potential landslides that may disrupt traffic in the hilly regions of Murree and Galliyat.
In Lahore, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 34-36°C on Monday and 32-34°C on Tuesday.
Additionally, parts of Punjab experienced rains with isolated heavy falls in the past 24 hours.

Okara was the hottest location in the province, with a maximum temperature of 39°C. In Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, and Multan, the maximum temperature reached 38°C.
Lahore experienced a maximum temperature of 35°C, with the relative humidity recorded at 62 percent in the evening.
