Verify Mobile SIM Owner and Details Online in 2024

With the rising instances of illegal activities using mobile SIM cards, it is essential for individuals to regularly verify the ownership of SIM cards registered under their name. This ensures that the SIM cards are valid and not being misused.

SIM Ownership Verification for Pakistanis

In Pakistan, all citizens can check the SIM owner's name and ID card number registered with their telecom operator. Previously, SIM cards were often obtained without proper registration.

However, due to a significant increase in unauthorized use, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) now mandates SIM card registration to combat illicit activities and enhance user safety.

Checking SIM Owner Information Online in 2024

To check the SIM user name and CNIC number, there is no need to visit the network carrier or handle paperwork. Instead, users can simply send an SMS with the text “MNP” to 667 from their SIM card.

This service is available for all Pakistani telecom operators, including Jazz, Warid, Ufone, Zong, and Telenor.

Additionally, there are several Android apps and software available for online verification of SIM owner details.

It should be noted that while some of these apps are not officially approved by the telecom authority or any government agency, they can still provide the required information.

SIM Card Regulations

According to the latest regulations, Pakistani citizens are allowed to use up to five SIM cards under one name.

Regular verification of SIM card ownership can help prevent misuse and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
