Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reaffirmed the province’s stance on water rights, stating that not a single drop of Sindh’s water would be diverted elsewhere.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Shah emphasized, “Our position on the water issue is clear and non-negotiable. We will not compromise on Sindh’s rightful share of water. No one will be allowed to take what belongs to Sindh.”
On the topic of polio, the chief minister pledged to strengthen efforts to eliminate the disease from Pakistan. “So far, 52 polio cases have been reported nationwide. We must continue the groundbreaking measures started by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to eradicate polio,” he said.
Shah also pointed out that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has a dominant two-thirds majority in the Sindh Assembly.
He mentioned that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had conveyed the party’s concerns to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership, stressing the importance of addressing these issues through dialogue.
Furthermore, Murad Ali Shah emphasized the need to protect children's rights, stating, “It is our duty to ensure a better future for our children through improved education and healthcare.”
