SUKKUR: Chief Minister’s House Complaint Cell has become a model for public service and efficient governance, with officials taking practical steps to resolve citizens’ issues on a priority basis, mayor of Sukkur and spokesman for the Sindh government said on Monday.
Barrister Arslan Islam Shaikh said the cell operates under the public service philosophy of former Prime Ministers Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, as well as the people-friendly vision of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The Sindh government is taking vigorous measures to ensure the immediate resolution of public problems, transparency and the promotion of good governance, Shaikh said.
“Bilawal Bhutto Zardari always emphasizes providing facilities to people at their doorsteps and resolving every citizen’s issues on a priority basis by listening to their voice,” Shaikh said.
He described the complaint cell as a practical embodiment of that vision, where citizens’ complaints and problems are promptly forwarded to relevant departments to ensure their resolution.
Shaikh said the cell, established under the leadership of Sindh’s chief minister, has become a strong and effective communication link between the public and the government.
According to Shaikh, departments responsible for health, education, municipal services, sanitation, drainage, water and electricity are actively working to provide immediate relief to the public.
Shaikh said the Sindh government believes in service, transparency and public trust, and that no negligence or delay will be tolerated in resolving public issues.
He instructed relevant officers to make the immediate resolution of citizens’ complaints their top priority and to take effective measures to provide maximum facilities to the public.
Shaikh also appealed to residents to fully utilize the complaint cell for their problems, complaints and suggestions, saying such participation would help strengthen a functional and public-friendly governance system.
