ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appealed to the nation to offer Salat al-Istisqa for rain.
In a statement today [Thursday], he urged religious scholars and leaders to play their role in organizing Salat al-Istisqa. He said the rain would improve the environment and greatly help get rid of diseases.
The Prime Minister said special prayers should be made to Allah so that human life can be relieved of this problem. He said Salat al-Istisqa should be organized in all mosques under the federal and provincial governments.
Shehbaz Sharif said there is an urgent need for rain in the current situation.
