Pakistan Army has successfully completed the training program for Iraq’s Special Forces. The training, conducted at the National Counter Terrorism Center, took place from September 24 to November 29.
According to the ISPR, senior military officials from Pakistan and Iraq attended the graduation ceremony of the Iraqi personnel trained in Pakistan. A total of 446 trainees were part of the third training batch, during which both Pakistani and Iraqi teams demonstrated exceptional professionalism, operational skills, and dedication.
ISPR stated that the training focused on counterterrorism capabilities, tactical drills, and integrated mission planning. All training objectives were successfully achieved, further strengthening military cooperation between Pakistan and Iraq.
PNS SAIF takes lead in disaster relief operations in Sri Lanka
In a separate statement, ISPR said that PNS Saif, currently in Colombo for the International Fleet Review 2025, provided humanitarian assistance to Sri Lankan civilians affected by a severe sea cyclone.
The cyclone caused widespread destruction across Sri Lanka. The Pakistan Navy delivered humanitarian aid to local authorities, including food supplies, dry rations, first-aid kits, medicines, emergency tools, and essential equipment.
According to the Pakistan Navy, the aid will support national-level rescue and relief efforts in Sri Lanka, and assistance will continue as needed.
