Authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkuwa on Wednesday notified summer vacations for colleges and universities across the region.
According to a notification issued by the KP Higher Education Department, summer vacations will commence on June 15 and extend until August 31, 2024, in the summer zone. In the winter zone, holidays will start from July 1 to 31, with colleges and universities in this area reopening on August 1, 2024.
The notification further states that the examination schedule previously announced by universities, higher education institutions, and colleges for programs such as BS (4 Year) and Associate Degree Program will remain unchanged as per the approved Academic Calendar.

Summer vacation will commence on June 1 and extend until August 31 for primary level students. However, for the senior wing, the summer break will commence from June 15, 2024.
In colder districts, summer vacations will commence in the upcoming weeks. Schools in these colder regions will remain closed from July 1 to August 31.
This adjustment in the schedule takes into account the cooler climate in these areas, ensuring a more appropriate vacation period aligned with local weather conditions.
