Authorities across the United Arab Emirates have announced free public parking during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays as part of measures aimed at easing travel and supporting residents during the extended break.
Officials said the initiative will help reduce traffic pressure and make movement easier for people celebrating Eid across different emirates.
The temporary exemptions apply across major emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ajman. Multi-storey parking facilities in most emirates, however, will continue operating under normal paid tariffs.
The steps are part of broader Eid-ul-Azha arrangements that also include updated public transport timings and toll fee exemptions at certain locations to help reduce traffic and improve travel during the holidays.
Authorities have advised residents to carefully check local regulations, as some paid parking areas and operating systems will continue to remain active during the holiday period.
Dubai: Free parking, extended Metro and Tram timings
Roads and Transport Authority has announced that public parking in Dubai will be free from Monday, May 25, to Friday, May 29, 2026, on the occasion of the Eid holidays.
The authority said the free parking facility will apply to all public parking areas except multi-storey parking terminals, which will continue to operate with regular parking fees during the holiday period.

- Saturday: 5:00 am–1:00 am (next day)
- Sunday: 8:00 am–1:00 am (next day)

- Saturday: 6:00 am–1:00 am (next day)
- Sunday: 9:00 am–1:00 am (next day)
- Monday to Saturday: 6:00 am–1:00 am (next day)
Abu Dhabi waives parking fees and most toll charges
Q Mobility confirmed that public parking and most Darb toll gate charges will be suspended during the Eid holiday.

- Free public parking: May 25–29
- Multi-storey parking: Remains chargeable 24/7
- Normal parking resumes: Saturday, May 30
Darb toll gate exemptions
Free toll access will apply at:
-Sas Al Nakhl -Al Maqta -Rabdan -Al Saadiyat
However, tolls will continue at:
-Al Qurm Gate -Ghantoot Gate
Charges at these two gates remain Dh4 per crossing and operate 24/7.
Sharjah: Free parking in most public zones
Sharjah Municipality has announced that public parking in Sharjah will be free during the first three days of Eid-ul-Azha as part of the emirate’s holiday arrangements.
However:
Paid parking areas marked with blue signs will remain chargeable
Tourist and commercial zones will continue operating through smart payment systems
Ajman announces full parking waiver.
The Department of Municipality and Planning, Ajman, confirmed free parking across all paid spaces from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29, 2026.

The move is intended to support smoother traffic flow and make holiday travel more convenient for residents and visitors during Eid celebrations.
