GWADAR: Corps Commander Balochistan, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem visited the flood-stricken regions of Gwadar district on Sunday to firsthand assess the situation and offer support to the affected individuals.
The purpose of the visit was to personally evaluate the conditions and provide assistance to those distressed by the floods.
Accompanied by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Gwadar Division, the Corps Commander engaged in crucial discussions with local authorities and community leaders to understand the challenges faced by the affected population.
During the visit, Rahat Nadeem was briefed on the immediate relief measures undertaken by relief teams to alleviate the suffering of the flood-affected victims. He also had interactions with social and regional elders, reaffirming the Pakistan Army's steadfast commitment to ensure prompt relief and rehabilitation efforts in collaboration with civil administration.
The Corps Commander assured the affected communities of the unwavering support of the Pakistan Army. With aid teams committed to remaining in the affected areas, timely relief measures will continue to provide assistance and comfort to those dealing with the aftermath of the floods.
To address the urgent need for water management in the flood-affected regions, the Pakistan Army expedited the delivery of 17 large and small water pumps from Quetta to Gwadar.
