Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), strongly rejected India’s accusations that Pakistan was involved in the deadly Pahalgam attack.
Speaking at a public rally in Mirpur Khas, Sindh, he challenged the Indian government to show proof if it had any. He said that if the evidence is real, Pakistan would find the attackers and hang them publicly in Mirpur Khas.
Bilawal, who previously served as Pakistan’s foreign minister, claimed that India was using the terrorism accusation as a cover for its real aim, which he said was control over the Indus River.
He referred to India’s strong reaction after the April 22 attack in Indian-administered Kashmir, where 26 tourists were killed. India blamed Pakistan without showing evidence and responded by cutting diplomatic ties, cancelling Pakistani visas, closing the Wagah-Attari border, and even suspending the Indus Waters Treaty.
Pakistan denied any involvement and offered to take part in a fair and transparent investigation. In response to India's actions, Pakistan expelled Indian diplomats, cancelled visas for Indian citizens (except Sikh pilgrims), and also closed the border from its side.
Bilawal accused the Modi-led government of pretending to be democratic while actually being extremist, and said India is not a peaceful country.
