Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his happiness over the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) crossing the historic milestone of 160,000 points in the KSE-100 Index.
In a statement, the Prime Minister said that by the grace of Allah Almighty, and through the hard work of the business community and the government, the stock market is setting new records of growth every day.
He stated that the KSE-100 Index surpassing the 160,000-point mark is a clear sign of the business community’s confidence in the government’s policies.
The Prime Minister added that the country, after achieving economic stability, is now moving towards economic growth. He said, “Insha’Allah, the journey of economic development will now continue at a rapid pace.”
Stock Market Soars to Historic High:
The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a remarkable surge on the last trading day of the week, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index reaching a new all-time high.
The index jumped by over 1,700 points during early trading, pushing it past the 161,000 mark for the first time in history.
After a brief pause, the market continued its upward trajectory, with the KSE-100 Index gaining an additional 2,800 points.
As a result, the index crossed the significant milestone of 162,000 points, marking an extraordinary day of gains in the stock market.
