ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Syed Asif Hussain resigned while Omar Hameed Khan has been appointed as Secretary ECP again.
The electoral body has issued a notification to approve the resignation of Syed Asif Hussain. It should be noted that Omar Hameed resigned on January 5 due to health.
Omar Hameed has also been Secretary Benazir Income Support Program, apart from this he has also been appointed as Special Secretary Finance.
Sources said that Omar Hameed has been re-appointed Secretary Election Commission on the previous record.

Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has challenged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)’s notice in assets case.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa filed petition in Peshawar High Court through the lawyer of Syed Sikandar Hayat Shah Advocate.
It has been contended in the petition that all the assets have been disclosed in the nomination papers and the Returning Officer(RO) has scrutinized the papers carefully.
