Despite this, Garfield expressed gratitude for that time, as it "allowed" him an easier opportunity to work with individuals like Martin Scorsese right after. While discussing their film “Silence”, he noted that Scorsese likely managed to bring his passion project to life by casting someone who had played Spider-Man in the lead role to portray a Jesuit priest in 1600s Japan. He added that the fact the film came together with the help of Spider-Man was a "beautiful thing."

Luca Guadagnino, also present at the festival, shared his fascination with Spider-Man. The filmmaker recalled, "I remember when Sam Raimi directed the first one. I was 28 or 29, and I had these dreams because I'm kind of a megalomaniac. I wished I had been asked to direct one. So, I wish I had directed you in Spider-Man."
