ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 0.06 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Monday, closing at Rs278.65 compared to the previous day's rate of Rs278.71.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar's buying and selling rates in the open market were reported at Rs279.60 and Rs281.10, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Euro experienced a rise of 0.36 paisa, closing at Rs287.33, up from the previous rate of Rs286.97, as per data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese Yen dipped slightly, losing 0.01 paisa to close at Rs1.78. In contrast, the British Pound appreciated by 0.09 paisa to trade at Rs340.03, up from the previous closing rate of Rs339.84.
Furthermore, the exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal declined by 0.02 paisa each, settling at Rs75.86 and Rs74.26, respectively.
