ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by 13 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Thursday, closing at Rs278.72 compared to the previous day’s closing rate of Rs278.85.
As per the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs279.75 and Rs281.25, respectively.
The exchange rate of the Euro also declined, decreasing by 58 paisa to settle at Rs289.71, down from its last closing value of Rs290.29, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese Yen experienced a minimal drop of 01 paisa, closing at Rs1.77, while the British Pound fell by 63 paisa, concluding at Rs342.77, compared to its prior value of Rs343.47.
Similarly, the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal registered minor decreases of 03 paisa and 02 paisa, respectively, ending at Rs75.88 and Rs74.30.
