The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in upper parts of the country.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely enter upper parts of the country from tomorrow evening/night.
Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in the twin cities and most parts of the country on Monday night and the following two days.
However, rains with wind/thunderstorms are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Manshera, Kurrum, Khyber, Shangla and Buner), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the period.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 27-29 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 28-30 C on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 28-30 C on Tuesday and 29-31 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
Mithi remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 38 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 28 percent.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 29 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 29 percent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 29 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 29 percent.
