Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has condemned the arrest of the party's Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, calling the charges against him fake and fabricated.
Reacting to the arrest, the PTI spokesperson noted that Qureshi has already been in jail for a considerable time and there was no justification for implicating him in additional cases.
The spokesperson emphasized that Qureshi had been arrested in cases in which he had already been granted bail.
"The Cipher case is certain to be dismissed, so the law has been violated again to keep him imprisoned, rendering the court's decision ineffective," the PTI spokesperson stated.
The spokesperson claimed that Shah Mehmood Qureshi is being punished for his commitment to Imran Khan's ideology.
"It is becoming increasingly difficult to keep Imran Khan and his associates in jail on false charges, leading to new levels of lawlessness," the spokesperson added.
"We will take all possible actions against Qureshi's arrest and work to free our innocent leaders and workers from jail," the PTI spokesperson declared.
