Aamir Khan's candid reaction to Salman & Shah Rukh’s Pathaan moment

Bollywood’s three iconic Khans—Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan—have defined stardom over decades. Starting their careers in the early ’90s, they’ve delivered some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters and continue to reign supreme. Last year, Salman made a memorable cameo in SRK’s "Pathaan", with their post-credit scene going viral. Recently, Aamir reacted to the scene, which many saw as a message to the "new-age" actors.

In a recent conversation with "The Hollywood Reporter India", Aamir Khan joined his ex-wife Kiran Rao and shared his thoughts on "Pathaan"'s post-credit scene. When asked about the scene where King Khan’s character tells Salman, “Hume hi karna padega bhai, desh ka sawaal hai, baccho pe nahi chood sakte” (We’ll have to do it, brother; it’s a matter of the country, and we can’t leave it to the kids), Aamir acknowledged how netizens quickly interpreted it as a nod to the "young-age actors."

The "Dangal" actor reacted by admitting he hadn’t watched the film but had seen a clip of the scene on Instagram. He found it amusing and mentioned Salman and Shah Rukh's names, shaking his head with a smile.

Aamir said, "Just all the young actors must have got upset, and you can't even get too upset with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman, Kya keh sakte hai." (What can they say?). His ex-wife Kiran added, "They must have enjoyed it."

Later in the discussion, he acknowledged that stars like Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan have also maintained successful careers for over three decades. He added, with a laugh, that he didn’t quite understand the secret behind their lasting appeal and joked that if anyone figured it out, he’d love to hear it, as he wouldn’t know how to replicate it himself.

Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan have never appeared together in a single film. While Shah Rukh and Salman shared the screen in "Karan Arjun" and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", and Salman and Aamir starred in "Andaz Apna Apna", the trio has yet to team up in one project. However, during an Instagram Live, Aamir, known for "Laal Singh Chaddha", revealed that they have discussed the possibility of collaborating on a film sometime in the future.
