The Pakistan government just changed how much it costs to get a passport that can be read by machines. These new prices apply to both regular and urgent passport applications starting in March 2024. The goal is to make getting a passport easier and better for people in Pakistan.

Here is a breakdown of the revised fee structure:

Passport Type Pages Validity Urgent Fee (Rs)
36-page Passport 36 5 years 7,500
10 years 11,200
72-page Passport 72 5 years 13,500
10 years 20,200
100-page Passport 100 5 years 18,000
10 years 27,000
It's important to mention that a service charge of Rs1,000 will now be added to all passport applications, no matter if it's for regular or urgent processing.

Passports are crucial for verifying identity and allowing Pakistani citizens to travel internationally. These fee adjustments show the government's dedication to improving services and making sure diplomatic missions work smoothly.

These changes demonstrate the government's commitment to modernizing passport services, making it easier for citizens to access them and travel seamlessly. Pakistan wants to ensure its citizens' rights to travel abroad are upheld and provide efficient consular services.

Overall, the new fee structure for urgent passport processing highlights Pakistan's efforts to improve administrative procedures and meet the needs of its citizens when it comes to international travel.
