The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the list of 16 women cricketers awarded central contracts for the 2024-25 international season.
According to the PCB, captain Fatima Sana and wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba Ali have been promoted to Category A, reflecting their outstanding performances. Left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal has been elevated to Category B due to her impressive recent form. Meanwhile, Tasmia Rubab has earned a central contract for the first time.
Players who are not part of the central contract list will still remain eligible for selection in future matches, ensuring a competitive environment.
PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Sameer Ahmed Syed, stated that the central contracts align with the board’s vision for the future. "We are preparing for the new ICC Women’s Future Tours Program and are committed to providing our women cricketers with the necessary resources, opportunities, and support to perform at their best," he added.
