Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Sunday.
Both the leaders discussed matters of mutual relation and corporation in diversified fields.
Earlier, the Chinese delegation, led by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting, matters related to regional security and bilateral cooperation came under discussion.
The Chinese foreign minister said that Pakistan-China relationship was based on convergence of views and mutual respect.
Wang Yi, while appreciating professionalism of the Pakistan Army, said that the world should recognize Pakistan’s efforts towards regional peace and stability.
The minister also appreciated the army for providing security to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
