After facing several delays, the Gujranwala Expressway project was finally inaugurated on Monday by the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi.
This expressway connects the city to the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway and is expected to cut down travel time between Gujranwala and Lahore by 45 minutes, as stated by Naqvi.
Expressing appreciation for the project's 'timely completion,' the caretaker CM acknowledged the efforts of all those involved. He mentioned a surprise night visit where he witnessed the team's dedicated work to finish the project ahead of schedule.
Additionally, the Gujranwala Safe City Project was inaugurated, completing in just 45 days according to Naqvi. The project includes the strategic installation of 109 surveillance cameras across the city to help reduce crime rates. Naqvi expressed hope that other ongoing projects in the province would also be completed on schedule.
