Rains, isolated hailstorms expected in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday and Saturday. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air dominates most of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely impact the upper and western regions of the country starting tonight.

Weather Forecast Partly cloudy weather with rain-wind/thunderstorms is expected at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Swat, Kurram, Waziristan, Bajaur, and Khyber on Thursday night. Hot and dry weather will prevail elsewhere in the province.

On Friday and Saturday, rain-wind/thunderstorms are forecasted at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Balakot, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Battagram, Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Karak, Hangu, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Orakzai, and Waziristan.

In Peshawar, maximum temperatures are expected to be between 38-40 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.

Recent Weather Conditions Hot and dry weather was observed in Peshawar and most districts of the province over the last 24 hours. Dera Ismail Khan was the hottest place in the province with a maximum temperature of 42°C and relative humidity of 63% in the evening.

In Peshawar, the maximum temperature was 38°C with 60% relative humidity in the evening.
