Talking about it, Usama Khan said, “I can tell you from where this news was originated. It all started with a show when the anchor unintentionally announced it. My engagement news was announced on Nida’s show, but it wasn’t true. That was the one viral news story about me that was fake. Everyone on the set of Ghair was convinced that I was engaged to Zainab until I denied the rumors. I told them that I have been searching for a girl for myself, and everyone kept saying, ‘Aren’t you engaged?’ and I was like, ‘No! I’m looking for a girl.’ Usama Khan also mentioned that girls interested in him can approach him.”

Nida Yasir admitted that she made a mistake by mistakenly sharing the engagement news of Zainab and Usama on "Good Morning Pakistan" after a viral engagement scene from their drama.
