As a guest on Wasi Shah’s show, Sonya Hussyn became emotional and spoke about some unseen phases of her life.

Sonya revealed that “her parents had problems in their marriage while she was growing up and that also took a toll on her relationship with her dad. It was always rocky and she never realized it till years later when she got into a relationship. Her ex told her to seek therapy as she was seeking the protection and comfort that a girl has from her father in that relationship. This is a psychological phenomenon and very common in the world. Sonya had to seek help for it.’’

After becoming an adult, Sonya took the initiative to express her love to her father. He became very emotional and cried a lot. Now, she tries to mend their bond as much as possible. Although her father is not very expressive, he makes sure she knows how proud he is of her and her achievements.
