Taskeen Zafar passed away in Rawalpindi today at the age of 67 after a brief illness. The news of her demise was announced by Radio Pakistan and the Pakistan Television Network. Her funeral prayers were held at 4:30 pm at Eidgah, Lalkurti in Rawalpindi that afternoon.
Taskeen Zafar joined the Pakistan Television Network as an announcer in 1980 and made significant contributions to broadcasting.
Last year, she was honored with the Presidential Award for her services. Her passing is a significant loss for both PTV and Radio Pakistan. May Allah grant her a high place in Jannah. Ameen.
