Security forces killed 12 terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan’s Kech and North Waziristan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the ISPR reported.

According to the details, on November 12-13, 2024, security forces conducted an IBO in the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan following reports of the presence of militants. During the operation, security forces targeted the militants’ position, resulting in the deaths of eight and injuries to six others.

A sanitisation operation is ongoing to clear any remaining militants in the area, reaffirming the commitment of Pakistan's security forces to eliminate terrorism.

In a prior statement, the ISPR reported that four terrorists, including their leader Sana, also known as Baru, were killed in an IBO in Balochistan’s Kech district. Sana was identified as a primary recruiter, especially for suicide bombers, for the so-called Majeed Brigade in Kech, and was highly wanted by law enforcement. Weapons and ammunition were seized from the terrorists.

“Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area. Security Forces of Pakistan, in step with Nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” the ISPR added.

Earlier on October 30, the security forces killed eight Khawarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district while three army personnel including a major embraced martyrdom.
