Since its launch in January 2024, the Punjab Transport and Mass Transit Department has effectively registered 25,000 rickshaws through the 'Retrofitted Three-Wheeler' portal.
Additionally, this initiative has seen the issuance of 22,000 Special Registration Vouchers (SRVs).
Developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the Retrofitted Three-Wheeler portal aims to simplify the registration process for three-wheelers in the province.
By providing a user-friendly platform for registration and documentation procedures, the portal ensures efficiency and transparency in the process.
During a progress review meeting, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized that this initiative not only benefits stakeholders but also contributes to the improvement of transportation services in Punjab.
