Light rain and gusty winds expected in Karachi, Sindh

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light rain and gusty winds in Karachi and parts of Sindh.

A strong westerly wave is currently affecting western Pakistan and is expected to extend its influence across most regions by tomorrow. As a result, partly cloudy weather with light rain and gusty winds is anticipated in Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, Ghotki, Kashmore, and surrounding areas on Monday night. Karachi and coastal Sindh may experience partly cloudy conditions with occasional drizzle.

Most districts of Sindh will see dry weather, though Karachi and coastal areas may witness partly cloudy skies with light drizzle.

Karachi’s minimum temperature is expected to range between 17°C and 19°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, and between 18°C and 20°C on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hyderabad’s minimum temperature is likely to stay between 16°C and 18°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, and between 17°C and 19°C on Thursday.

Over the past 24 hours, dry weather has prevailed across Karachi, Hyderabad, and most districts of Sindh. Mohenjo-Daro and Mithi recorded the lowest temperatures in the province at 12°C.

Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 18°C, with an evening relative humidity of 49%. Hyderabad recorded a minimum temperature of 17°C, with relative humidity at 47% in the evening.
