Karachi is set to face hot and humid weather over the next 24 hours, with temperatures ranging between 33°C and 35°C, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The city's weather will stay warm and damp, with southwestern sea breezes expected to provide some relief. In the last 24 hours, Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 20.5°C, and while daytime temperatures will be high, evenings will remain moderate due to the sea breeze.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat, especially during peak daytime temperatures.

In Neelum Valley and its surrounding high-altitude areas, the weather is gradually improving, with temperatures rising and cold intensity decreasing. However, heavy snowfall has left many roads blocked, affecting Taobat, Shounter, and upper Neelum Valley, making travel difficult for residents.

Due to the road closures, locals are forced to carry essential supplies like food and medicines on foot, leading to shortages of medical supplies.

As temperatures rise, the snow is melting, increasing the flow of water in the Neelum River and its tributaries. The National Highway Authority (NHA) has deployed machinery to clear snow from roads, but according to Executive Engineer Sohail Qayyum Qureshi, it may take two to three days to cle snow avalanches and landslide debris.
