In devotion to regulations, the Electoral Officer must confirm the voter's possession of an active National Identity Card, cross-referencing the information and photo on the card with the details on the voter list.

The Polling Officer proceeds by announcing the voter's name and serial number. To verify whether the voter has already cast their vote, the Polling Officer examines the cuticle on each thumb. Following this, a permanent ink mark is applied to the right thumb of the voter.

After marking, the voter's name is promptly removed from the voter record and the individual is directed to the Assistant Polling Officer.
