Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir arrived in Germany for an official visit on Thursday.
Upon his arrival at the German Ministry of Defense, he was welcomed by Chief of Defense Karsten Brewer.
The Army Chief was presented a guard of honor by troops of the German Armed Forces, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)
The ISPR said that the German counterpart was with Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir at the German Army Combat Training Center. There, the Army Chief visited various training facilities and observed a practical demonstration of urban warfare. Additionally, General Munir met with the Advisor to the German Chancellor on Political and Security Affairs, the German Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and the State Secretary for Defence to discuss matters of mutual interest.
The German leadership expressed their appreciation for Pakistan's role in the fight against terrorism and acknowledged its contributions to regional peace and stability, the ISPR said. General Munir is also scheduled to visit the Command and Staff College of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg.
