Chicken meat prices in Lahore and other Punjab cities have reached Rs485.
The price increase is attributed to a rise in demand nearly a month after Eid, when consumption of other meats had surged.
According to data from local traders, the price of broiler chicken meat per kg is now Rs483. In the past three days, the cost of broiler chicken meat has risen by Rs99 per kg.
Meanwhile, the price of live broiler chickens is set at Rs321 per kg wholesale and Rs333 per kg retail. The price of eggs remains stable at Rs250 per dozen.
