The depreciation of the US dollar has led to a significant decrease in the prices of construction equipment on an annual basis. Market sources reveal that the minimum price of local currency has dropped by a total of 13 thousand rupees.
Currently, the minimum price of local serry stands at 2 lakh 29 thousand rupees per ton, while the maximum price is 2 lakh 36 thousand rupees per ton.
In Karachi, the price per ton of steel is 2 lakh 36 thousand rupees. In Lahore, it is 2 lakh 32 thousand rupees per ton, and in Multan, it is 2 lakh 29 thousand rupees per ton.
The price in Islamabad is 2 lakh 34 thousand rupees per ton, while in Faisalabad, it is 2 lakh 31 thousand rupees per ton.
Similarly, the price of branded Steel has also decreased. The minimum market price is now 2 lakh 61 thousand rupees per ton, and the maximum is recorded at 2 lakh 55 thousand rupees per ton.
Previously, the price of a ton of sulfur had reached as high as 3 lakh 5 thousand rupees. This price reduction provides a welcome relief to the construction industry, potentially boosting economic activities and development projects.
