KARACHI: Gold price in Pakistan further increased by 700 to Rs241,700 per tola in the local market on Friday (June 28).
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also increased by Rs 600 to Rs 207,219 from Rs 206,619, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
The price of per tola and ten gram silver remained constant at Rs 2,850 and Rs 2,443.41 respectively.
The price of gold in the international market increased by $22 to $2,326 from $2304, the association added.
It is pertinent to mention here that back in April, gold prices in the local market had reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola.
The fluctuations in gold prices are largely driven by changes in the international market, reflecting the global demand and supply dynamics for the precious metal.
