The Saudi Minister of Media, His Excellency Dr. Awwad Alawwad stressed the importance of Saudi-Algerian relations, which are based on firm foundations and permanent friendship.
While meeting the Algerian editors-in-chief and senior writers in the capital Algiers today, on the sidelines of the official visit of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the country the minister further said that the the common ground between the two countries helps these relations become more distinguished. His Excellency said that the visit will open wider prospects of cooperation in all fields between the two countries, especially in the political and economic arenas. He also said that the visit will establish a new phase of bilateral relations at all levels.
Dr. Alawwad urged the media in both countries to work hard to consolidate the relations and help develop these ties. He also called for increasing cooperation, exchanging visits, organizing bilateral programs, and coordinating efforts between the media sectors in both countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of Media invited the Algerian editors-in-chief and media representatives to visit the Kingdom and participate in the events to mark Riyadh as the Arab Media Capital.
It is to mention that the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Algeria on Sunday from Mauritania, resuming a tour of Arab countries after attending the G20 summit in Argentina.
