The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), dismissed Ali Amin Gandapur from his position as the party's provincial president on Saturday.
Sources revealed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, was dismissed from the role by PTI founder, who then appointed Junaid Akbar as the new provincial president of PTI.
PTI founder has instructed Salman Akram Raja to issue an official notification confirming Junaid Akbar’s appointment as PTI's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president.
The day before, Junaid Akbar had been elected as the chairman of the influential Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly.
Additionally, PTI founder directed Salman Akram Raja to begin discussions on reorganizing the party in Punjab.
Salman Akram Raja stated that Gandapur chose to step down as PTI's provincial president in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to focus on governance. However, sources mentioned that PTI founder expressed dissatisfaction with the corruption reports coming from the province.
PTI founder also instructed Ali Amin Gandapur to distance himself from the politics of Dera Ismail Khan, according to the sources.
