Motorway police has seized huge cache of weapons near Rawalpindi that was set to be smuggled to Lahore.
According to the details, Motorway police observed an abandoned car near Thalian Interchange. Inspector Faisal Malik and Assistant Patrol Officer Waqar Khan checked the car during patrolling and found large shipment of arms.
They recovered weapons including 76 pistols, 22 different rifles, more than 26,000 bullets and 800 magazines.
The car and weapons have been handed over to Saddar exterior Rawalpindi Police Station after legal proceedings, while search operation for unknown suspects is also underway, according to police.
