Print media may not have a future: Fawad Chaudhry

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that, given the breakneck progress of social media, the future of the print media does not look viable.

Addressing the 35th specialized training program, the minister said that the importance of information group is increasing day by day, adding that in the future weapons will be replaced by ideas.

Chaudhry further said that due to advanced technology, governments will not be able to control censorship.

He said that in the last five years, some negative books have been written against Pakistan, adding that the purpose of the information ministry is to safeguard the interests of the state.
