Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday alleged that the government had signed an “NRO with the protesters”.
In a conference in Khairpur, Zardari said the government had made an agreement with the actual troublemakers and alleged that it will now arrest the few people whose pictures have been circulating over the Internet.
In response to another question, the PPP leader said that Nawaz Sharif’s silence over political matters is perhaps his attempt at cooling things down in the country’s politics.
“In politics, sometimes situation is heated up and sometimes cooled down,” the former president said, adding that “Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are perhaps cooling things down.”
Taking potshots at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Zardari said that an “An under 14 team is running the country,” adding that people are worried about rising inflation and that no bureaucrat is ready to work on these issues.
The former president said that the Sindh government has worked to deal with the water crisis in Sindh. “Bhasha dam was our plan, and it was made feasible by our government. Our government also gave people money for land.”
