Founder of pop singing Nazia Hassan’s 53rd birthday is celebrated today. On the occasion of her birthday, Google has commemorated the Pakistani pop sensation on her birthday through its Doodle.
Famous albums like ‘Boom Boom’ and ‘Disco Deewane’ are known because of the unique style of the singer, which is remembered by fans even today.
Nazia Hassan and her brother Zohaib Hassan are called founders of pop music. Nazia composed songs with the combination of eastern and western, still famous despite years have gone by.
Nazia Hassan introduced in Pakistan Television's (PTV) program Sung Sung and in the 80s era she sang “Aap Jaisa Koi” for Indian film “Qurbaani” and gained popularity.
Nazia Hassan also released a memorable album “Disco Deewany”. After that albums released included “Boom Boom”, “Young Tarang”, “Hot Line”, and “Camera Camera”.
The pop sensation was also awarded Presidential Award for Pride of Performance while she was also conferred with the ‘Best Female Playback Singer’ award and 15 ‘Gold Disk’ awards along with various other awards.
Reaching the peak of her fame, Nazia Hassan died on 13th August 2000, at the age of 35, died because of lung cancer.
