According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa confirmed death sentences of 12 "hardcore terrorists" on Monday.
The ISPR said that the army chief also ratified prison terms awarded to six other convicts, who were involved in attacks on civilians, armed forces and law enforcement agencies.
According to the statement, the terrorists were also involved in an attack on central imambargah in Parachinar, Kurram Agency, and killing of eight soldiers and 26 civilians.
