Bushra Ansari criticized the media for being inconsistent. She talked about it, saying that the media has double standards, “today, I am extremely angry, my phone has been buzzing since the morning after the news of Sana Javed and Shoaib Malik’s marriage surfaced on internet. First of all, I want to clarify, every media person should attend your calls but that doesn’t mean you irritate them to get a certain news. Well, today, I received tons of calls from a media person, firstly, he rang me on my mobile, I didn’t pick his call; then he called from channel’s number which I ignored. He then called on my WhatsApp; just to know if I was aware of Sana Javed’s marriage. I replied to him that I didn’t know anything about it, I scolded him and told that there was a reason behind ignoring his call, I don’t want to address such personal affairs. I am worried, Talat Hussain Sahab is very sick, we are worried for him, did you ask about him?, you guys are only interested in Sana Javed’s marriage” . She also called out social media, saying, “and I would like to address social media users, you people are always criticizing the celebrities on their looks and dressing, you are playing a very bad role, you assign heaven and hell to others but let me tell you, you will be punished too, today I am extremely angry”.
She mentioned that she doesn't know Sana or Shoaib personally, so she has no information about their marriage.
