Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed Nihal Hashmi to ensure that MQM-P has no complaints regarding governance in Sindh. The Prime Minister also assured a visiting MQM-P delegation that federal development projects proposed by the party for Karachi will continue as planned.

The meeting took place on Thursday evening at Faisal Airbase, with the MQM-P delegation including Chairman Khalid Maqbool, senior leader Syed Mustafa Kamal, Faisal Sabzwari, Aminul Haq, Farooq Sattar, and former Governor Kamran Tessori.

MQM-P did not formally complain to the Prime Minister about removing Kamran Tessori from the governorship. However, during the meeting, Farooq Sattar mentioned that one of their representatives, Kamran Tessori, was sent back despite being with the Prime Minister. In response, Shehbaz Sharif praised Tessori’s work and told him not to take it personally. He also told Governor Nihal Hashmi that MQM-P should have no grievances regarding his conduct.

The MQM-P delegation also raised serious concerns about the non-implementation of Article 140A of the Constitution, despite cabinet approval. The Prime Minister acknowledged the party’s concerns and scheduled a follow-up meeting in Islamabad next week to address the matter.
