At Karachi Airport, light rain commenced, while reports indicated rainfall in Model Colony and moderate rain in Gulshan Iqbal Block 4, Maskan Chowrangi.
Heavier rainfall was reported in Lyari. Additionally, rain was observed in the Federal B Area, Exhibition Chowrangi, and other parts of the city, with lighter rain in Defense, Akhtar Colony, and Mehmoodabad.
The Meteorological Department had initially forecast heavy rain for Karachi on April 17 and 18, but now they have revised their prediction, stating that the rain system approaching Karachi has weakened, with a possibility of only light rain today.
It's noteworthy that the Meteorological Department has forecasted rain accompanied by strong winds, thunder, and thunderstorms in many regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, and Balochistan over the next 24 hours.
