PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has decided to have one month summer vacations instead of two months.
PHC Additional Registrar Mamreez Khan Khalil has announced that holidays of July has been abolished so that pending cases are quickly disposed of.
Speacial benches would be constituted in the month of July to dispose of civil case, the registrar said, adding that the benches would deal with pending civil cases on priority basis.
He said that the Chief Justice of the PHC and other judges are of the opinion that complaints must be provided timely justice. He further said that it has been decided to establish special benches for civil cases in consultation with senior lawyers of the hight court, Additional Registrar PHC Khalil.
He maintained that steps are being taken to computerize the PHC system so that any litigant could see his or her case status on the website, adding that the purpose of the establishment of special benches is to facilitate the complainants.
