Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Saturday that petroleum prices would remain unchanged.

In a video statement, he assured that the financial benefit of this decision would be passed on to the public through a reduction in electricity prices.

"We have decided to keep petroleum prices at their current levels, and the entire financial advantage will be transferred to the people through lower electricity rates," he stated.

He further mentioned that a comprehensive package to cut electricity prices was in the final stages and would be revealed in the coming weeks.

"From day one, I committed to prioritizing public relief, and we are delivering on that promise," he emphasized.

PM Shehbaz also assured that he would personally update the nation on the upcoming relief measures.
