More monsoon rains and heavy falls likely in Lahore, Punjab

More monsoon rains, including some heavy downpours, are expected in Lahore and various parts of Punjab on Monday night, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with breaks in between.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea are affecting southern and eastern Pakistan, while a westerly weather system is over the northern regions.

These weather conditions will likely bring monsoon rains to areas like Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum starting Monday night.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, more scattered monsoon rains are expected in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, Lahore, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, Khushab, Bahawalpur, Multan, Taunsa, and Dera Ghazi Khan. Heavy rain may occur in some areas of the Potohar region.

In Lahore, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 34-36°C on Tuesday and 35-37°C on Wednesday. In the past 24 hours, scattered rains have already been reported in Lahore and parts of Punjab.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 82 per cent.
