Isolated rains and gusty winds are expected in northern parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

A continental air mass dominates most of the country, while a shallow westerly wave affects the northern and western regions.

Under these conditions, sporadic rain and winds are likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, with occasional gaps. Islamabad's maximum temperature is expected to range between 33-35°C on Tuesday and 34-36°C on Wednesday.

Similarly, Rawalpindi’s temperatures will range between 33-35°C on Tuesday and 34-36°C on Wednesday.

In the past 24 hours, most parts of Pakistan experienced hot and dry weather. Nokkundi was the hottest place, with a maximum temperature of 41°C, while Bhakkar and Sibbi recorded 40°C.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature reached 34°C with evening humidity at 54 percent, and Rawalpindi recorded a maximum of 34°C with 49 percent humidity in the evening.
